01Acceptance of Terms

By using the Platform, you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years of age, or the minimum age required for digital services in your country, whichever is greater.
• If you are between 13 and 18 years old (or under the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you have obtained verifiable parental or guardian consent to use the Platform.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.
• You have read and agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
• Your use of the Platform complies with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Terms on the Platform and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

02Description of the Service

turntbl is a free, web-based music rating and social platform. The Service allows users to:

• Discover music, albums, artists, and tracks.
• Rate and review music using our proprietary rating system.
• Post comments and engage in community discussions about music.
• Create and maintain a personal profile showcasing your music taste and activity.
• Follow other users and interact with their ratings and reviews.
• Explore curated and community-driven music recommendations.

turntbl does not host, stream, upload, or distribute audio files. All music discovery and reference content is sourced through licensed third-party data providers and publicly available metadata. turntbl is a social layer for music — not an audio streaming service.

The Service is currently available exclusively as a web application. We reserve the right to modify, expand, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time, with or without notice, and we will not be liable to you or any third party for doing so.

03Account Registration & Security

3.1 Creating an Account

Certain features of turntbl require you to register for a free account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep that information up to date. Providing false or misleading information is grounds for immediate account termination.

3.2 Account Security

• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (username and password).
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you.
• You must notify us immediately at turntblteam@gmail.com if you become aware of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.
• We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure.

3.3 One Account Per User

Each user may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, abuse platform features, or manipulate ratings is strictly prohibited and will result in termination of all associated accounts.

3.4 Usernames

You may not use a username that impersonates another person or entity, that is offensive, that infringes any trademark (including the turntbl trademark), or that violates any applicable law. We reserve the right to reclaim or require you to change any username at our discretion.

04License Grant & Intellectual Property

4.1 License to Use the Platform

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, turntbl grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not permit you to:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the Platform or its content without our prior written consent.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of any software underlying the Platform.
• Access the Platform via automated means — including bots, scrapers, crawlers, or data mining tools — without our express written permission.
• Use the Platform to build or operate a competing product or service.
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, labels, or branding on the Platform.
• Sublicense, sell, resell, or commercially exploit the Platform or any content therein.

4.2 turntbl's Intellectual Property

The Platform — including its design, interface, code, graphics, logos, text, data compilations, and all content that is not User Content ("turntbl Content") — is owned by or licensed to turntbl and is protected by copyright, trademark, trade dress, and other intellectual property laws.

The name "turntbl," the turntbl wordmark, and all associated logos and branding elements are trademarks of turntbl (trademark registration pending). You may not use these marks in any manner without our prior written consent. Unauthorized use of our trademark may constitute infringement and may be subject to legal action.

4.3 Third-Party Music Data & Metadata

Music metadata, album artwork, artist information, and related content displayed on the Platform may be sourced from third-party providers (such as MusicBrainz, Spotify, Last.fm, Apple Music, or similar services). Such content remains the property of its respective owners and is subject to their terms and licenses. turntbl does not claim ownership of third-party music data or artwork.

4.4 Copyright Infringement (DMCA)

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that any content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice to our Copyright Agent at:

Your notice must comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)) and include: (i) a description of the copyrighted work; (ii) identification of the allegedly infringing content and its location on the Platform; (iii) your contact information; (iv) a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized; (v) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate; and (vi) your physical or electronic signature.

We will investigate valid DMCA notices and take appropriate action. We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

05User Content — Ratings, Reviews & Comments

5.1 What Is User Content

"User Content" means any ratings, numerical scores, written reviews, comments, replies, profile information, or other text-based content you submit, post, or display on the Platform. turntbl is specifically a rating and social commentary platform — you may not upload audio files, video files, or copyrighted media through the Service.

5.2 You Retain Ownership

You retain ownership of the User Content you create. turntbl does not claim ownership of your reviews, ratings, or comments.

5.3 License You Grant to turntbl

By submitting User Content, you grant turntbl a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable, transferable license to use, host, store, display, reproduce, modify (for formatting or display purposes only), distribute, and create derivative works of your User Content solely for the purposes of:

• Operating, maintaining, and improving the Platform.
• Displaying your content to other users as part of the Service.
• Promoting and marketing the Platform (e.g., featuring highly-rated reviews in promotional materials).
• Complying with applicable legal obligations.

This license continues after you delete your content or close your account only to the extent necessary for us to complete technical processes (e.g., backups), after which we will remove your content within a reasonable period.

5.4 Your Representations

By submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that:

• The content is your original work and does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
• You have all necessary rights to grant the license above.
• Your content does not violate any applicable law or these Terms.
• Your ratings and reviews reflect your genuine, honest opinion and are not fabricated, commercially incentivized (without disclosure), or designed to manipulate the Platform's rating systems.

5.5 Rating Integrity

turntbl is built on the integrity of authentic music opinions. You may not manipulate ratings through coordinated inauthentic behavior, bot activity, incentivized reviewing, vote brigading, or any other means. Violation of rating integrity is grounds for immediate account termination.

5.6 Content Moderation

We reserve the right — but not the obligation — to review, remove, edit, or disable access to any User Content at our sole discretion and without prior notice, if we believe it violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or is otherwise harmful or objectionable. We are not liable for any failure or delay in removing problematic content.

06Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree that you will not — and will not encourage or facilitate others to — engage in any of the following:

• Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or invasive of another person's privacy.
• Impersonate any person or entity, including turntbl staff, artists, or other users.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent ratings or reviews.
• Engage in coordinated inauthentic behavior designed to manipulate ratings, trending lists, or platform recommendations.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to interact with the Platform without our written consent.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Platform without our prior written permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or any part of our systems.
• Introduce malware, viruses, or any harmful code into the Platform.
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation, security, or performance of the Platform or its servers.
• Use the Platform to advertise or solicit commercial services without our prior written consent.
• Post spam, chain messages, or unsolicited promotional content in comments or reviews.
• Violate any applicable law, including privacy laws, anti-spam laws, or export control regulations.

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, permanent termination, and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

07Community Guidelines

turntbl is a community for music lovers. We expect all users to engage respectfully and authentically. In addition to the prohibitions in Section 6, we expect users to:

• Be respectful in disagreements — critique music, not people.
• Write honest, good-faith reviews based on genuine listening experience.
• Disclose any material relationship with an artist or label when reviewing their work.
• Refrain from using slurs, hate speech, or targeted harassment in any content.
• Respect the privacy of others — do not share personal information about other users without their consent.

Detailed Community Guidelines are available at turntbl.com/guidelines and are incorporated into these Terms by reference. We may update our Community Guidelines at any time.

08Free Service & No Payment Terms

turntbl is currently offered as a free service. There are no subscription fees, paid tiers, or in-app purchases at this time. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or subscription plans in the future. If we do, we will provide advance notice and will not charge you without your affirmative consent.

While the Service is free, turntbl may display advertising or sponsored content on the Platform. We will clearly identify any sponsored content. Your use of the Platform constitutes acknowledgment that advertising may be present.

09Privacy & Data

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy, available at turntbl.com/privacy, explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference and forms part of your agreement with us.

By using the Platform, you acknowledge and agree that:

• We may collect usage data, interaction data (such as ratings you give and content you view), and technical data about your device and browser.
• We use cookies and similar tracking technologies as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
• Your data may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries, which may have data protection standards different from your home jurisdiction.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR, including rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how to exercise these rights.

10Third-Party Services & Links

The Platform may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, services, or platforms (for example, links to music streaming services to listen to albums being rated). These third parties operate under their own terms of service and privacy policies, which we do not control.

turntbl is not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party service. The inclusion of a link on the Platform does not constitute endorsement of that third party. Your interactions with third-party services are solely between you and that third party.

11Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may delete your account and terminate your use of the Platform at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at turntblteam@gmail.com. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11.2 Termination by turntbl

We may suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
• Engaging in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
• Conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to other users, third parties, or the integrity of the Platform.
• Extended periods of account inactivity (we will endeavor to provide notice before this occurs).
• Discontinuation or winding down of the Service.

11.3 Effect of Termination

• Your license to use the Platform terminates immediately.
• Publicly visible User Content (such as reviews and comments) may remain on the Platform for a reasonable period unless you request deletion before termination.
• We may retain aggregated or anonymized data derived from your usage after termination.
• Sections 4, 5.3, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 of these Terms survive termination.

12Disclaimers of Warranties

Music ratings, reviews, and opinions expressed on turntbl are those of individual users and do not represent the views of turntbl. We make no representations about the quality or accuracy of user-generated ratings and reviews.

13Limitation of Liability

14Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless turntbl, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your access to or use of the Platform.
• Your User Content.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property right or privacy right.
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to your indemnification, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense.

15Dispute Resolution

15.1 Informal Resolution First

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at turntblteam@gmail.com with a written description of your dispute and give us 30 days to resolve it informally through good-faith negotiation.

15.2 Binding Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration administered by a recognized arbitration body (such as JAMS or AAA), rather than in a court of law — except that either party may bring an eligible claim in small claims court.

Arbitration shall be conducted in English, on an individual basis. The arbitrator's decision shall be final, binding, and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction. Each party shall bear its own costs unless the arbitrator determines otherwise.

15.3 Class Action Waiver

15.4 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States federal government, to the extent applicable. turntbl is not incorporated in any state. Any disputes not subject to arbitration under Section 15.2 shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.

16General Provisions

16.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and turntbl regarding the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations.

16.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it in the future.

16.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may freely assign these Terms, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of substantially all of our assets.

16.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disaster, pandemic, internet outages, cyberattacks, or governmental action.

16.6 Electronic Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive electronic communications from turntbl, including notices about your account and updates to the Service. You agree that all such electronic notices satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. You may opt out of non-essential communications in your account settings.

16.7 Feedback

If you provide turntbl with any feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the Platform ("Feedback"), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use such Feedback in any manner. We have no obligation to keep Feedback confidential or to compensate you for it.

16.8 No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms are solely for the benefit of you and turntbl. Nothing herein creates any rights for any third party.

16.9 Export Compliance

You represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country or territory subject to U.S. trade sanctions or embargoes, or listed on any U.S. government restricted party list.
